Arithmetic of Fractions

Skills with fractions are learnt from as early as Year 5. However, through the use of calculators in Years 7-12, the skills required to manipulate fractions are often lost. These skills are of vital importance when working with algebraic expressions (ie, expressions with variables) as algebraic expressions cannot be manipulated using calculators! Hopefully this material will help you regain the skills you may have lost.
