M162

Success in MATH162 depends mainly on your individual effort. The subject consists of just one two-hour formal lecture each week, which means you will need to do a substantial amount of personal study. You may find MATH162 will be hard work, but it will be very rewarding if you are dedicated to learning.

For more information, work through the Introduction for MATH162. The information can also be found in the MATH162 Subject Notice (distributed in Lectures during Week 1) which should be read in conjunction with the document Policies and Services of the University, Faculty and School (download or obtain a copy from the subject coordinator).

The documents that appear here for MATH162 are pdf files. This means you will need a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader (at least version 3.0) to read and print the file. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, it can be downloaded free of charge from the following sites (try the local one first): UoW ITS software page (under 'utilities') or www.adobe.com/products/acrobat. The on-screen view of the file may not be the best quality. You may want to print the documents to get a clear copy.

Throughout the session, the coordinator, Kristina Bendzovska, will be available to reply to questions via email (kbendzo@uow.edu.au). In most cases, Kristina will endeavour to reply within 48 hours, but if you haven't heard within 48 hours, you may wish to leave a phone message with the Admin Assistants (4221 3845).
